I bring over a decade of experience representing clients in complex bankruptcy and bankruptcy litigation matters. I'm known for my practical insight and strength in the courtroom, and I help clients—from small businesses to large corporations—navigate financial restructuring with clarity and confidence.

My practice focuses on Chapter 11 reorganizations, bankruptcy litigation, and trustee representation. I've successfully represented debtors across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, biotech, retail, and energy (power, E&P, and oilfield services). I also regularly advise post-confirmation trustees and have extensive experience guiding them through claims resolution and company wind-downs.

As a seasoned trial attorney, I've served as lead counsel in dozens of evidentiary hearings and bench trials. I've litigated contested matters and adversary proceedings involving Section 363 sales, valuation disputes, contested plan confirmations, and complex claim objections.

I'm proud to have received consistent recognition for my work, including being named a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers by Thomson Reuters (2018–2024) and being included in The Best Lawyers in America (Woodward/White Inc.) for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law and Litigation - Bankruptcy (2025). I earned my J.D., cum laude, from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2011 and my B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2005. (Go Huskers!) I'm admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Northern, and Western Districts of Texas.

Currently, I serve as Treasurer of the Houston Bar Association Bankruptcy Section and sit on the 2025 Houston Leadership Council for Lambda Legal. I'm also an active member of the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.

When I’m not working with clients or in the courtroom, I love spending time with my wife and our three dogs, exploring Houston’s restaurant scene, and diving into my latest hobbies—currently golf, piano, and exploring an art practice. I also love to travel whenever I can.
